FUNKY GARAGE EP

After a period of hiatus, we are back, stronger than ever, with this
brand new EP. It has been a long journey that began a year ago when we decided to make music together once more. The process unfolded naturally,seamlessly bringing everything together.

Our previous significant release was the Yama EP in 2018, but we felt the need to evolve beyond our former style. Our inspiration remains rooted in familiar influences, but we have crafted a fresh approach that injects new energy into our music. In addition, we decided to focus more on vocals, witha couple of tracks featuring our own singing.

The Funky Garage EP introduces a new sonic landscape for us, and we can’t wait to explore it more in the future. It is a fusion of house, funk, jazz, and electronic elements, all interconnected to narrate a story.

We envisioned the imagined tales of an old Japanese Group B rally driver, behind the wheel of a Lancia Delta. Drifting through the muddy tracks, lost in his thoughts, he reflects upon all the things he experienced in his life. While listening to funky music blasting from the special stereo mounted in his rally car, he comes to the conclusion that his only purpose in life is to drive to his maximum potential, to the limit. This is the only thing that makes him feel alive, his purest passion.

FARDUST


💨 We are Fardust, a duo based in Bologna, Italy. We met a few years ago, we both played the violin in the local orchestra.
However, this project started during summer 2017, when we decided to focus on a different aspect of music, embracing the new era of electronic sounds. Taking our inspiration from jazz and hip hop tracks, we managed to make our first EP, Shimmer/Moondance, and second EP Yama which was also our debut releases under Cascade Records. From that point we tried to push ourselves even further, shaping our sound and evolving it to fit even better our passion of creating something unique and that, not only us, but anyone can feel and relate to.
